A broken arm didn’t get him down

GetSavvi Health Members, Moegamad and Moniefa Nassiep, were recently distressed when their 12 year old son was injured.

We sat down with Moegamad to talk about the experience:

1.)How did it come about that you needed to use your GetSavvi Health medical insurance?

My son fell and broke his arm. He said that he was running to class when he tripped and fell, and landed awkwardly on his arm. That day the school called my dad (my dad picks him up and drops him off at school). I asked my dad to bring him to Louis Leipoldt hospital. When we got there, the hospital said we needed to present our medical aid card and requested a guarantee of payment from our medical insurance.

2.) Were there any delays in getting this info and getting things started?

It took a while, but it was a mistake on my part because it was the first time I was using my GetSavvi Health insurance. I was supposed to call while I was on the way to hospital so that they could arrange everything. But I only called for guarantee of payment when we reached the hospital, so it took some time to get everything sorted. But after that, everything just flowed.

3.) What kind of treatment did your son get?

Firstly, they set the bones in his arm and said that he was to return in a few days so they could check that everything stayed in place. But unfortunately, the bones shifted and they had to operate. The doctors then called GetSavvi Health and we immediately got the go-ahead for the operation. He was operated on the next day. We got service very quickly.

4.) How do you feel about having GetSavvi Health medical insurance?

To tell you the truth, I feel that it’s one of the best decisions we made.

5.) And how do you feel about the service you’ve received?

I feel very happy about the service and the support that I got from GetSavvi Health. Whatever requests we made, we got helped very quickly.

6.) Did GetSavvi Health cover all the medical expenses? Was there any shortfall?

GetSavvi Health paid the full bill. Everything was covered.

7.) On a scale from 1-10, with 10 being excellent, how would you rate GetSavvi Health’s services?

From my experience till now, I will give GetSavvi Health a 10.

8.) Would you recommend GetSavvi Health to family and friends?

I have done that already.

9.) Do you have any other comments?

I would just like to say a big “thank you’ to GetSavvi Health and the people that I dealt with because they made this whole experience very simple and easy... and quick.
