GetSavvi Health's 10th Anniversary Bash: A Sizzling Celebration of Teamwork
8 March 2024
GetSavvi Health is proud to celebrate a significant milestone: our 10th anniversary! To kick off this celebratory year, we embarked on an unforgettable team-building session that set the tone for the months ahead.
Our team gathered for a special Braai Master competition, where colleagues were grouped into teams and tasked with showcasing their culinary skills over an open flame. The atmosphere was electric as everyone embraced the challenge, igniting fires of camaraderie and collaboration.
Under the South African sun, amid laughter and friendly banter, each team crafted mouth-watering dishes infused with creativity and passion. From perfectly grilled meats to delectable side dishes, the air was filled with the tantalising aroma of barbecue.
However, the competition wasn't just about culinary prowess; it was a testament to the power of teamwork. Colleagues rallied together, seamlessly coordinating tasks, sharing tips, and cheering each other on. It was a true display of unity and collaboration, reflecting the essence of our company culture.
As the judging panel sampled the array of dishes, it was evident that the real victory lay in the bonds forged and the memories created. Each team presented their creations with pride and enthusiasm, showcasing not only their culinary skills but also their unwavering dedication to excellence.

Swinging Bats and Boosting Morale: GetSavvi Health's Cricket Tournament 2023
30 November 2023
We have a winning team! Protea fire. Congratulations to the winners of our 2023 French Cricket corporate games. What a blast.
GetSavvi Health recently brought the team together and hosted our very own French Cricket games. It was a hit! Staff from every department came together and supported their team.
Cricket, often hailed as the gentleman's game, took on a new twist at GetSavvi Health recently. In an effort to inject some fun and camaraderie into the work routine, the Savvi team traded their pens and keyboards for bats and balls in a friendly game of office French cricket.
Little did we know it would become the highlight of our week.
The Teams We’re:
- Protea Fire (Champions!)
- La 6sis
- Phoenix and Black Mambas
- Raiders
- Untouchaballs
- United Against Enemies (UAE)
Team Engagement Hits a Six
The tournament brought together colleagues from different departments, breaking down silos and fostering a sense of unity. It wasn't just about playing cricket; it was about connecting with colleagues on a different level.
The camaraderie that developed on the field translated seamlessly back into the office, creating a more collaborative and vibrant workplace.
Exercise in the Office? Yes!
Who said exercise is limited to the gym? The cricket tournament proved that a healthy dose of physical activity can be seamlessly integrated into the workday. Batting and taking agile catches not only elevated heart rates but also lifted spirits.
It was a refreshing break from the sedentary routine, leaving everyone energized and ready to tackle the day's challenges.
A Break that Boosts Productivity
Contrary to the conventional belief that breaks hinder productivity, the cricket tournament had the opposite effect. The short burst of physical activity acted as a mental refresher, enhancing focus and productivity when back at the desks. It turns out that a well-timed break can be the secret sauce to a more efficient workday.
Thank you, HR!
Kudos to the HR team for this ingenious initiative! The Cricket Tournament 2023 is proof that employee engagement doesn't always require extravagant measures. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple game of cricket to build bonds, foster teamwork, and elevate workplace morale.
