Benefits ⟩ Maternity

The arrival of a little one can be exciting yet daunting at the same time. GetSavvi Health’s maternity benefit will help eliminate the stress of wondering how much the medical costs will be.

Maternity cover includes gynaecologists’ visits, ultrasound scans and the costs related to birth.

You’ll have the option of choosing one of the following birth procedures:

1. Cover of R20 000 for a normal birth. A normal birth is defined as when the infant is born spontaneously (without help) in the vertex position (head down) between 37 and 42 completed weeks of pregnancy.

2. Cover of R30 000 for a caesarean delivery (C-section). A C-section is a surgical procedure used to deliver a baby through incisions in the abdomen and uterus.

The waiting period for our maternity benefit is 12 months from membership commencement.

Members are required to pay up front for maternity benefits covered and submit the claim to GetSavvi Health for reimbursement.
