Business Development Manager

GetSavvi Health is a dynamic and growing medical insurance company, proudly owned by Workforce Holdings. We are seeking a Business Development Manager with experience in the insurance industry to join our team. This role requires someone who can lead and oversee our overall sales and operations strategy.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in the healthcare or insurance industry.
• Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing teams.
• Strong understanding of sales and marketing principles.
• Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional planning and organisational abilities.
• A logical, astute, and motivated approach to work.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Solid understanding of managed healthcare processes.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong business relationships.
• Experience in managing BPO operations and Group Schemes is advantageous.

Your Daily Activities Will Include:

Performance Areas (KPAs):
1. Sales Strategy and Leadership
• Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
• Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and exceed expectations.
• Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team through effective coaching, training, and development.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

2. BPO Operations Management
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the BPO team, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of BPO operations and identify areas for improvement.
• Implement strategies to optimise operational processes, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the IT department to ensure the smooth functioning of BPO systems and technologies.

3. Group Schemes Management
• Develop and implement a robust strategy for acquiring and retaining Group Scheme clients.
• Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in corporate and institutional clients.
• Negotiate contracts and manage client relationships to ensure long-term partnerships.
• Monitor the performance of Group Scheme clients and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

4. Team Leadership and Development
• Provide leadership and guidance to the sales, BPO, and Group Schemes teams.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and creativity.
• Identify training and development needs for team members and implement appropriate programs.
• Evaluate team performance and provide regular feedback to drive continuous improvement.
